As one of the top independent schools in the UK we offer a varied curriculum to cater to individual strengths. Years I to III at Tudor Hall provide our girls with a broad curriculum offering a wide range of subjects providing a foundation for GCSE study and beyond. In the IIIs, our students choose their GCSE options which she will study for the next two years.
To ensure a balanced programme we have a common core of subjects for all students – English, English Literature, Mathematics & a minimum of two sciences. We also require girls to study one modern foreign language, either French, German or Spanish and one of the humanities, History, Geography or Religious Studies. Other subject choices at GCSE level include Art, Textiles, Design & Technology, Drama, Food and Nutrition, Computer Science, Latin, Music and PE.
In the Sixth Form our students have 27 subjects to chose from for A level.
The educational offer at Tudor is a personalised journey. To ensure our students have the chance to shine academically they receive advice from experts, their tutor, senior leaders and the careers department.
Throughout the IVs and the Autumn term of the Vs all girls are taught one lesson per week of Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (PSHEE). Various topics will be taught in order to widen the girls’ horizons and to encourage them to become well-rounded, aware, confident individuals. They are exposed to the difficulties and problems facing the world through role play, discussion, group work visits, guest speakers and individual assignments.
